Third of teenage girls believe their gender will harm their career


Over a third of teenage girls in the UK think their gender will harm their future career prospects, according to a new survey by online community Habbo.

The report says: “We have consistently identified that respondents aged 13 to 25 in the UK do believe that some skills, personality traits and career pathways are more orientated towards specific genders. This trend is concerning as it is potentially damaging the career prospects and self-esteem of young people who do not conform to gender stereotypes.”
