Scottish schoolgirls meet female Rugby trailblazers

The national “Inspiring Women in Sport” week of action kicked off yesterday with an event at the BT Murrayfield rugby stadium in Edinburgh where 60 girls from local state schools were invited along for a “career speed networking” event. Speakers included Sheila Begbie MBE, Head of Women’s and Girls Rugby, Isobel Irvine, Edinburgh Rugby Media Manager and some of the modern apprentices working in Scottish Rugby’s Domestic Rugby department.

The event was part of the wider Inspiring Women campaign, run by charity the Education and Employers Taskforce and you can follow the campaign on twitter at @Edu_Employers

A big thanks to @Scotandteam and @FAB_Scotland from the Inspiring Women team.
